Where else would we find such an awesome initiative? filelodge.com? - it went down the drain nowadays. I hope the administrators realize that you have a lot of thankful members, besides all the mindless users. There's not much else to say, but honestly, Fileden is among the few useful things on the net I've ever encountered...fast, reliable, server reacts almost immediately, uploads use my whole up-bandwidth(230+kb/s). So far so ..awesome..keep it that way. It isn't unnoticed by many of the tankful members you have. I'm sure a lot of people would be capable of writing such a message and there wouldn't be a false word in what they'd write. Thanks fileden.

Hmm...I really think it'd be a good idea to establish a pay-pal account for donations. It wouldn't hurt, would it? Many freeware software creators do that, and I'm sure some users would be happy to contribute (I know I would). Statistically, there's a good chance ;).

Best regards,
Veles

We thought about it but in the end decided we didn't want to take donations without improving the user's service :). Therefore decided on a subscription based system that's going to be integrated early August along with a great bunch of new features. :)

Excellent idea to have subscribers. I am elated over having found fileden. I have used other sites that only made me irritated and angry as I was unable to get my files for 2 or 3 days. Or worse, to click on a download and only get this "0" . Thanks for FileDen... You're the greatest!! :p

Here is the first lot of new features:

Public & Private files

Users can choose when uploading if they want their files to be public or private, public files can be accessible easily via URL, private files can only be accessed by them in their account.

High Security Uploads

User can choose to use SSL when uploading their files to keep files secure.

Zip Uploaded Files/Folders

Can put uploaded files into zip file via their account, e.g. select 5 files, add to zip archive, zip file containing all them files is then put into their directory.

URL Uploading

Instead of having to upload a file/folder from their computer, the user can enter an URL, that URL is then downloaded into their File Den account.

Photo Album(s)

Photo albums allow users to add photos/images into an album, users can then browse through their photo album when given the link to it.

The album can have a description, you can name the album & photos, along with each photo being able to have a description also.

The option can also exist to password protect your photo album, so that people viewing your albums must enter a password in order to view the album or any photos in the album.

Bookmarks

Users can add their favourite websites, etc to bookmarks at File Den in order to back them up and offer easy accessibility no matter what PC they?re using.

Bookmarks must have following information:
Name, URL & Short description.

Folders for bookmarks must also be able to be created, so e.g. a user can make a folder for his favourite websites, cool websites he?s found, etc..

Above are the first set of features set to be integrated for paid accounts by August 2nd.

We then have a second feature list which I'll make available closer to the time for September :). We'll be adding new features all the time.
