i know that a user asked a similar question, but i don't feel that it was answered in reference to fileden.com...
if i upload music i've created to fileden.com, can it be stolen from fileden.com??
i plan on using an embedded player to display my songs, not to the public.

Simply put:
If you upload any file on an unsecured connection your file can be highjacked (stolen in transit).
If you have not given anyone the URL (links) to your files, then noone has access to your fileden folders. (mark all folders that contain files 'private')
If you publish your player, so that someone can hear your songs, even a program as simple as Windows sound recorder can capture a representation of your music.
Lastly if you value your creations that much and place them on a free public file hosting service, expect the unexpected and fear the worst. there are NO guarantees!

Hi thevoxboxrules,
We're planning a similiar service to run in conjunction with File Den to what you're looking for in the future that will allow users to store files privately on the web with no risk of them being stolen from other people.
If you use the current file den service, unless you give people the URLs it'll be hard for them to be stolen, there is however a remote chance.
Kind regards,
The File Den Team.

I am somewhat confused about the Public/Private option. Under file properties>make public, does this mean, click on 'make public,' its PUBLIC, yet the option now reads 'make private'.....jeezzzz! LOL
I also tryed posting on File Dens blog, my message did not post....I would like to rant about your generous FREE service.

Hi Toosie,
Which blog post did you try to reply to?
We're going to be making the public/private system much easier in the future. I have quite a few plans for it however there's quite a bit in the development line so it'll probably be a month or two before they're in place.
Kind regards,
The File Den Team.
