im sorry but i will leave fileden very soon, its been great experience, but over the last few months i am just rather ******* ****** off with the amount of advertising and dumb *** obliterating my screen-view stupid questionnaires that you guys have shoved onto the screen before actually being able to simply login to my fecking account here. so i'm leaving for a better place. i realise u have to make money, but this way? man, u **** lol:mad:

I think it's a good price to pay for free file hosting =)
besides its not like they have popups, and u can use certain ad-blocking software =)

The advertising banners pay to maintain the free accounts and therefore is a valid method of promoting the FREE services provided by FileDen.
If you leave your account signed in you do not see the advertising banners, also users on premium accounts do not see any advertising once logged in.
A small price to pay to keep a fine sevice free.
And yes Trivolve one can employ third party advertising blockers, they are also built into most decent firewalls these days.
Lastly darkstarenglishman, how would you finance a free service?, if one didn't employ the use of advertising.
Good luck in finding a better FREE hosting service....

I've used File Den for two years. I didn't mind the first two or three pages you had to click skip or pass to bypass the ads. But now they have two pages of clicking numerous times yes or no, no skip this button, so you have to go all the way down the list clicking no just to access your files? That's not nice. At least add a skip this button to the page. I've been using this site to store files linked on my website. I have a bunch. But I'd just as soon go to the trouble of moving my files and renaming the links somewhere else as have to do this every time I need to access my files. Sure you can stay signed in, but that's not the point. As far as ad blockers, I have them, and they do not block these pages with these questionaires. Click yes or no. Man, I wish they hadn't done this. I understand the need for advertising, appreciate the free service, but at least add a button to the page so users can skip it without having to click no all the way down.

Speaking of the questionnaires, I found a useful trick to ignore them. Simply log in, go back a page and refresh.
Anyway I think using ads are reasonable to keep up free accounts, I just hope that the site is fixed soon so I can access my files again. I use Fileden to host images, but with it down none of my images are showing on the sites where I post them. I'm not gonna go to Photobucket because I've had problems with that site. I much prefer the fileden service. I can ignore and close popups, in fact doing so has become a habit on Fileden that I barely even notice.

You made some good points there. I did a search on the topic and found most people will agree with your blog.
