Hello guys, another great update for you all!

We now allow all premium users ftp access to their File Den accounts.

One of the standard features of a File Den premium account is the ability to access your files via FTP (File Transfer Protocol). It allows you to access your File Den account from a FTP client anywhere in the world without having to go through the hassle of navigating around File Den.
If you don't already have an FTP client, below are some FTP clients of which we personally recommend:
WS_FTP Pro: (http://www.ipswitch.com/products/ws_ftp/index.asp) (Free 30 day Trial) - ($54.95 for full license)
Cute FTP: (http://www.cuteftp.com/products/ftp_clients.asp) (Free Trial) - ($29.99 for full license)
Smart FTP: (http://www.smartftp.com/) (FREE!)
In order to access your account via FTP you need to use the following login information:
Server Address / Host: premiumftp.fileden.com
Username:Your file den username (make sure to type it in lower case ? even if your username contains some capital letters)
Password: Your File Den password.
Port: 21

You can also access your account via FTP through most popular web browsers, simply type the following into your web browser:
ftp://premiumftp.fileden.com (ftp://premiumftp.fileden.com/)
When it asks you for a username and password, enter your File Den username (make sure to type it in lower case ? even if your username contains some capital letters) and your normal File Den password.

That's it! Enjoy your File Den premium account!

Another great reason to upgrade your account today!

Kind regards,
The File Den Team.

Just login to your account via the browser, and you will see your uploaded files. Then, click on a plus next to each file, a new panel will open with particular file's details. A the bottom of the page you will see BB Code, HTML and URL green links, click on each respectively to get desired codes.

Thanks so much for this!

I searched all over the FAQ's for FTP info--this is a crucial tool for Premium users, guys.

Please make a point of sticking it in a conspicuous location. :)

What is ftp or when building and publishing web pages? I am buying a template for my web designer to edit and complete for me but she asked me if I will give her access to my ftp. I thought she could just do it and publish it. What else do I need and is it safe for her to have access?

Your web designer requires FTP access in order to upload your website content to your hosting service. This is a normal request from a web designer.
Web Space: Upload Guide For Microsoft Internet Explorer

Open an Internet Explorer window.
Type or paste the following FTP server path into the address bar of the window and press enter: ftp://your_account_details_here

This will typically open up your web space folder, containing your cgi-shl and htdocs directories, as shown here:
https://secure.freeola.com/myfreeola-control-panel/images/folders.gif
If your folders do not look like this, and appear as underlined links instead, you need to adjust your browser settings. Click on Tools, then Internet Options in your browser. In the Internet Options box, tick Enable folder view for FTP sites. You need to click Apply then OK, and close IE and re-open it for the changes to take effect.
Double click on the htdocs directory and this will open up as a new browser window, which will be empty if you have not yet uploaded any files. This is the directory that should contain all your web files.
Open the folder on your computer that contains your web site pages and drag the files from this window into the browser window. For security purposes you may be asked to confirm your User ID or Password.
To download a file to your machine from the server, right click (PC) or hold your mouse button down (Macintosh) on the file and then select 'Save As...' then choose where you would like to save the file.I hope this helps......
