Hi - :confused: Can anybody help me. Yesterday I registered with FileDen and uploaded 15 songs for use with a player from Pimp-My-Profile on my MySpace page. I followed all the steps correctly and loaded the MP3 songs to the player on Pimp and pasted the URL into my MySpace page - the player is showing and the graphic Equilizer is moving but there is no sound coming from it. I DO have the volume up and all the settings are in place on MySpace. What have I done wrong.
I saw this same player working on somebody else's MySpace page so I know that the kind I have does work on there.
Cheers
Karen

After looking into your problem, I would say that for some reason your files are not being played, the graphic equaliser that is displayed is purely for show and does not indicate that a song is actually playing, indicated by the fact that the track timer is not advancing.
This would indicate one of two things to me, which one seems more obvious to me, is that your songs have in fact got character errors, by this I mean that your song titles contain spaces, where underscores should have been used.
REMEDY: you can save yourself time by renaming your song titles:
Example: my song.mp3 to my_song.mp3 instead of uploading all your tracks again, all you will have to do after renaming them is to update the file URL's in the player.
I hope this resolves your problem, let me know, please reply again if you are still having problems, where I will look further into the issue.

Hope that this is the correct place to post. I am having the same problems also. I read the above and pulled up both a url that worked and one that doesn't. They both appear to be the same in configuration. I checked the original file and it plays fine on the computer. Said files appear to upload to FileDen, give an url line but when tried from FileDen I get the answer "File not found, does not exist or bad url'. Both files are by the same artist if that is any help. Thanks!-BM

Fundamentaly there could be a number of issues preventing normal playback, here's a few to check.
Even though the artists are the same, the bitrate for the songs could be different if the songs happen to be downloaded and not compiled by your pc using conversion software from CD audio. some players only like certain bitrates.
Make sure the titles of the tracks do not contain any characters that prevent the URL being read properly by the player or playlist. ie;
http://www.your_file.mp3 will work however http://www.your%20file.mp3 may not. the obvious difference is the inclusion of a space character instead of an acceptable ( _ ) underscore. Spaces are represented as %20, spaces are just one of a whole bunch of unacceptable characters.
PS Thanks for the guestbook entry, I hope you liked the site.
